I’ve spent this afternoon cutting the flat and spiral steels ready for the commissions I’m currently working on.
The spiral steels need capping and the flat steels need the attentions of this bench grinder to smooth the ends into curves and ensure there are no rough edges. Once this is done they’ll need each end dipping in a special ‘paint’ to prevented from rusting or otherwise damaging the corset once worn.
Whoever thought you’d need a bench grinder for Corsetry!
